The most recent information about a pending arrival has been sent to Hearts supporters.
Even though the football player has only been in the nation for two weeks, Heart of Midlothian may proclaim the arrival of their newest star early next week.
Pierre Landry Kabore, who spent two weeks in Edinburgh before joining the Jambos from FK Trans Narva in Estonia, is expected to be revealed as the team's newest star on Monday.
According to Hearts manager Derek McInnes, the team had hoped that Kabore's work permit would be granted by Friday so they could defeat Sunderland, a recently promoted Premier League team, 3-0 in a preseason friendly.
That seems to have had to be postponed, though, as the 24-year-old's permit is now anticipated to arrive on Monday.
It is hoped that the goal scoring star will make his debut for the Tynecastle club at their encounter later this week, which will take place behind closed doors.
"Hopefully, we can get his work permit done by Monday, I think it is," McInnes said in a statement to the media. We hoped so yesterday, and we were told that he could play the day if we got it.
After joining JK Trans Narva in January 2024, the Burkina Faso international went on to score 22 goals in 20 games for the team the previous season.
"He's the top goalscorer over there," McInnes added. He was, though I'm not sure if he still is.
Although he has been doing a lot of excellent work on his own, you should definitely strive to integrate him with us.
We had to wait a little while longer than we had hoped, but we were hopeful he could have taken the pitch today. We're hopeful that early in the week, we might be able to reveal something about that.
The head coach of the Jambos was also asked about rumours that the team is interested in signing Tomas Bent Magnusson, an Icelandic midfielder.
Hearts are confident that the 22-year-old midfielder, who has made 16 appearances for Valur this season and scored two goals, might be the ninth summer acquisition.
McInnes, however, played down any optimism by remaining silent about the matter, stating, "I don't really want to comment on anything until anything's over the line." Like any signings, I believe we can't keep anything a secret at Hearts because word gets out.
"Until we are in a position to make an announcement, we are interested in a few players." Kabore has been in the nation for some time and is knowledgeable. We're just waiting for him to finish. We'll simply wait till we can get things across the finish line, though.
