At Forest Green Rovers, the first departure of the summer is planned.
Jamie Robson, a left-back for Forest Green Rovers, is almost certain to sign a contract with Oldham Athletic of League Two.
Robson, 27, has been with the Gloucestershire team for two and a half seasons. During the 2024–2025 season, he was selected both the Players’ and Supporters’ Player of the Season.
The Scotsman has played Scottish Premiership football with Dundee United and has League One experience from his year-and-a-half stint at Lincoln City.
Last season, he established himself as a mainstay in Steve Cotterill's team, playing in all 46 league games and reaching 122 appearances overall for Forest Green.
Earlier this summer, Rovers acquired left-back Neil Kengni from Macclesfield, a wide player brought in by new boss Robbie Savage.
After losing 3-1 to Accrington Stanley on Tuesday night, Oldham was eliminated from the Carabao Cup preliminary round.
The League Two season started with a 0-0 draw against title contenders MK Dons. Earlier on Wednesday, Rovers signed Nick Haughton from AFC Fylde on a permanent basis, making him their eleventh acquisition of the window.
Robson would be the first player to leave the team this summer; Savage had alluded to other departures following the announcement that attacking midfielder Liam Sercombe was surplus to requirements.
