Bradford City's manager maintains that Peterborough United's League One bottom-of-the-table ranking is untrue.

Graham Alexander, the manager of Bradford City, feels that Peterborough United is in a misleading position in the League One standings.

Posh drew 1-1 with the undefeated visitors thanks to a strike from substitute Cian Hayes in the 90th minute, but Darren Ferguson's team couldn't escape the bottom spot with their first League One point of the year.

Will Swan gave Bradford the lead at the 55-minute mark. With 11 points from their first five games, "The Bantams" remained in fourth place after the point.

Alexander thought the match against Posh was just as difficult as those against Luton Town and Stockport County, two promotion-fancies.

"For seventy minutes, it was more than solid," Alexander told Argus and the Bradford Telegraph.

"We had some really good moments, especially in the first half, that we should have capitalised on, and I thought we looked dangerous."

However, Peterborough is an excellent team. Their league standing, in my opinion, belies the calibre of their team and, of course, the manager's expertise.

However, I was really happy with the goal, and I believe that having to take guys off afterward disrupted the game's tempo. Picking up the pace for those who are coming on is challenging.

Nevertheless, they put in a tonne of effort. Their goal is somewhat deflected, but we ought to do a better job of defending it.

Even when it appears in the box, we should defend it because it was a direct ball up.

"I believed we would win by a comfortable 1-0 in the end. I don't recall our goalie needing to make many saves, despite the pressure they were under and the support of their supporters.

Peterborough deserves praise for persevering through to the very end. That game was as difficult as any of them, but have a look at the dedication and hard work my players are putting in every three days in our schedule.

"We've taken four points from those two away games we've played in four days, which makes me very happy."
