Alexander Jensen is aware that Aberdeen's most recent European attack could feature first-leg hero Dante Polvara once more.
The seasoned Euro campaigner scored after coming off the bench and helped the Dons overcome a two-goal deficit to salvage a 2-2 home draw against FCSB in their Euro play-off match.
One of Aberdeen's standout players when they advanced to the Conference League group stages two seasons ago, the American scored significant goals against Eintracht Frankfurt and PAOK. This season, he has seen minimal playing time from the bench.
"Yeah, I think he's a good player as well," Jensen said. He's good and always brings something. It was great to see him score a goal.
"He is obviously familiar with the city and everything because he has been here for a long time. In other words, he is a decent man. "Yes, I am aware of his prior European aspirations. I suppose he obviously enjoys the European games.
With Ester Sokler scoring the equaliser late in the game, Jensen is fully aware that his failure to close the back door has prevented the Scottish Cup champions from grabbing a lead against Romania, even though the match is now evenly balanced.
"I think it happens sometimes in football - and I don't think it's new guys," he asserted.
"These errors do occur occasionally, and that's what they are. It's just the way it is; sometimes they won't score there as well. To recover and win 2-2, we shown great character in the second half.
In my opinion, the performance was passable. Before the (first) goal, I believe we played really well. However, we obviously need to improve on the goals, and we must consider that in order to improve as a team.
However, I would say that generally, it's positive. Despite being granted their goals, FCSB lacked ambition and were extremely negative at Pittodrie.
Jensen admitted that they might be a different proposition at home, but there was nothing to be afraid of from the first leg.
"We saw today that FCSB is a good team, and I think they will be even better in Bucharest," the defender cautioned. Thus, it will be a challenging game, and they have European experience.
Naturally, we believe we are capable of doing it. However, we are aware that they are a strong team and that the game will be difficult.
We must continue doing it in an effort to perhaps uncover even more crosses and increase our level of danger.
We must thus deny them opportunities because I believe they will score at that point. Jensen also believes that Jimmy Thelin's revamped Aberdeen team is beginning to take shape.
"Hopefully, we can improve even more and perform the same performance again and hopefully get a result," he continued.
"I believe we'll continue to become better. I believe we'll improve with each game because we're still a new team with new players.
"I believe we will get better at more games the more we train together. Of course, you wish it were even better.
However, we'll accept it. "The game down there is going to be intriguing, and there are ninety minutes still to play.
I am therefore eagerly anticipating it. As I mentioned, they are undoubtedly a strong team.
"Playing these games against them and making it competitive against such a strong opponent is a good thing. Thus, it's encouraging to observe. On Thursday night, the Red Army contributed to their comeback.
Jensen is fully aware that the roles would be reversed and that the National Stadium in Bucharest will be unfriendly for them due to FCSB's backing.
"I think it's going to be like that," the Dane cautioned. We simply need to keep the crowd down there because it will be a difficult task. If we can, don't consider that.
