Defensor Holloway of Birmingham City signs a new contract



Rebecca Holloway, a defender for Birmingham City, has agreed to a new two-year deal with the team ahead of the 2025–2026 campaign. 

 This afternoon, the Blues made the announcement on their official club website.

international for Northern Ireland is considered a legend at Birmingham City. Holloway has proven to be a resolute fan favourite by giving it her all each and every time she has put on a blue and white jersey.

 Between 2019 and 2022 and from 2024 to the present, the defender played for the Blues twice.

 She will soon make her 100th club appearance. Holloway played for Birmingham City in the Barclays Women's Super League during her initial stint there. 

 Despite having one of the lowest budgets in the top division, she enabled the Blues to valiantly fight against relegation.

 Before the Midlands team was demoted to the Barclays WSL2, the player left in March 2022.

Holloway has continued her career in Birmingham City upon her comeback in 2024. She has contributed to Birmingham City's push for promotion back to the top division with some outstanding performances. 

 Holloway will be trying to win a championship with Birmingham City this season after being a part of the team that lost out on promotion on the last day of the previous campaign.
