Gillingham manager Gareth Ainsworth encouraged Josh Andrews and defender Lenni Cirino to take advantage of their teammates' expertise.

Gareth Ainsworth, Gillingham's manager, has advised Josh Andrews and Lenni Cirino to take advice from the more experienced players in their immediate vicinity.

Andrews brushed off a possible injury during the warm-up to lead the line, and Cirino held his spot to deliver another excellent performance for Gills against Crewe.

Although Ainsworth was happy with both players, he acknowledged that they still had a lot to learn, and Max Clark and Sam Vokes are the best persons to teach them.

"Giving Lenni another chance was a big decision when you have someone like Max Clark, who is an absolute stalwart, has been promoted, and played at a higher level," Ainsworth added.

He clearly has a lot to learn, in my opinion. But he's made a contribution and will gain a lot of knowledge.

His role in learning the game is very similar to Josh Andrews'.

He has a wonderful mentor in Max Clark. Although Aaron Rowe is more of a winger or wing-back, he is becoming more and more fit.

"We have some excellent choices. "Gaffer, your decision, that's fine, I just want to win the game," Max stated, expressing his disappointment at not being able to play.

Max Clark is undoubtedly committed to this team as well. I think that's fantastic.

To be fair, Josh Andrews had a minor problem during the warm-up.

He had doubts about his ability to finish the game.

He was amazing, and I believe that was a significant time for Josh as well. However, we'll pick him up and tend to him.

Josh Andrews once more ran his socks off. Again, there was no decline in performance once Sam Vokes entered the game.

He's a large man, a good big man, and he knows a few tricks that Josh might pick up.

We have a fantastic talent, but Sam definitely wouldn't be playing here because he lacks Josh's athleticism.

"They will improve as they get to know one another and exhibit some truly impressive moves and moments."
