Following his refusal to play, Hamza Igamane departs Rangers to join Lille.

Days after refusing to come off the bench against St Mirren, Rangers confirmed that Hamza Igamane had left for Lille, a French team.

Last July, Igamane signed a five-year contract with Rangers after leaving AS FAR.

Rangers have now consented to his leave after he had a successful first season in Scotland and had been linked to a move since the beginning of the transfer window.

Rangers can confirm that Hamza Igamane has joined Lille OSC for an undisclosed price, according to a brief statement posted on the club's website.

Throughout his one season at Ibrox, the Moroccan international scored 16 goals. Everyone at Rangers sends their warmest regards to him as he departs.

The Rangers manager implied that the 22-year-old was among several players impacted by uncertainty regarding his future.

The player missed the first few games of the season due to injury and has only been used sporadically as a substitute under new head coach Russell Martin

Martin had instructed Igamane to get ready to enter as a substitute during Rangers' 1-1 draw at St Mirren on Sunday, but the player informed him that he was injured and would not play.

Later, the head coach expressed interest in the player and stated that he fully anticipated him to pass a physical and depart the team in the next few days.

Martin declared, "He's got what he wanted." "Well, it appears that he will be able to play somewhere else, which means we will have some of the money we wanted for him."
