As Dundee United's new youngster looks forward to his fantasy derby debut, Nikolaj Moller responds to the Zlatan comparison.

Nikolaj Moller, a new player for Dundee United, has dismissed comparisons to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, a legend of Sweden.

Like Zlatan, the 6'4" shooter made his debut with Malmo in his own country as a youth before joining Bologna at 16.

This led to unavoidable comparisons to the former Barcelona, Inter, and Ajax hero. Moller, however, believes that was more a result of his rangy build than any true resemblance in playing style.

Every day, I make an effort to put myself first and be the best version of myself. Dundee United's new player, Nikolaj Moller, has denied any resemblance to the Swedish legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The 6'4" shooter, like Zlatan, made his debut as a young player with Malmo in his own country before joining Bologna at the age of 16.

Comparisons to the former Barcelona, Inter, and Ajax hero were inevitable as a result.

However, Moller thinks that had less to do with any real similarity in playing style and more to do with his rangy build. Nikolaj Moller at Tannadice. Moller in the unfamiliar setting

"I'm tall, and I play for the same team (Malmo) as him (Zlatan), so that's another reason for these comparisons."

But a turning point was the teenage move to Serie A, which prompted such lofty comparisons. Moller said, "It's really hard to make a move like that alone at that age." "However, I believe that being able to execute the next moves makes you incredibly strong."

Arsenal apprenticeship The Sweden U/20 player continued his elite apprenticeship in 2020 when he relocated to Arsenal

He played with players like Emile Smith-Rowe, Reiss Neilson, and Folarin Balogun in Premier League 2, and he took part in senior training sessions with Mikel Arteta.

You also show yourself that you are capable of doing it, which boosts your confidence and helps you develop.

"You get different experiences and take different stuff with you in the different countries I've played," he continued.

"I believe it has greatly influenced who I am now and the player I am, with a little bit from everywhere."

Derby debut As is frequently the case, he lost one of the game's superpowers in the pursuit of first-team football.

Moller went on to play for Stromsgodset and St Gallen, scoring six goals and dishing out two assists in 47 games.

Additionally, he signed a two-year contract with the Tangerines on Saturday, with a one-year option held by the club.

Next Sunday, he might make his debut at Dens Park against Dundee on derby day.

“I think it's perfectly set-up to come in and play a big game like this,” Moller said on Dundee United's official website. I'm ecstatic.
