The previous resident of Stockport County corrected the record.
"It was definitely my goal!" exclaimed Will Collar at Brackley Town after he claimed the first goal for MK Dons in Tuesday night's 2-0 preseason victory at St James Park.In Northamptonshire, the former Stockport County player set Paul Warne's team on track for a second win in three days with the first goal after seven minutes. Aaron Collins then scored the last goal to complete the scoring.
Although Collar would later correct the record, there was immediate uncertainty as Simone Troso's cross went through a throng of players, leading most to believe it was an own goal.
"I was there to finish it off in the middle, and it was a nice bit of build-up play from the throw-in," he said. "The boys moved it out to Sim quickly." It was a nice game to play in, but the opponent was more formidable than what we faced on Saturday. All of the lads benefited from it.
"It's preseason, so there were some sloppy moments mixed in with some good stuff we played. It was a nice run-out all around.

Collar spent an hour playing in the midfield engine room on Tuesday after receiving a run-out in the last half of Saturday's match against Hitchin Town. The 28-year-old says he is feeling at ease in his new surroundings both on and off the pitch, despite missing the first week of training with his new club after moving from Edgeley Park.
He went on, "I felt good out there." I joined a week after they returned, so I'm still a week behind everyone else, but I'm settling in nicely. Getting to Spain with them was crucial, and I'm feeling fantastic because you can integrate with everyone lot better when you spend every minute of every day with the guys.
"I think League Two is a good fit for the gaffer's style of play, and I really like it myself. I believe we'll be very successful this season since the season is approaching swiftly, we're playing on the offensive, earning second balls, and moving forward.
