Rob Edwards already has tremendous talent, but Middlesbrough clearly needs a transfer.

Tommy Conway will have a busy season since Boro wants to increase their striking options.

Tommy is going to impress them! It is quite possible that Rob Edwards has already realised Tommy Conway is a potential star.

Last season, the Scottish international striker was a great acquisition. If he had received greater assistance on the pitch, I have no doubt that he would have scored more goals than his 13 goals.

Tommy probably feels the same way. When Conway had his palm up, unmarked, and screaming for the ball at the far post, I can't even begin to remember how many times a teammate exploded into a fantastic attacking position and decided to shoot—off target.

Prior to his fellow Scot Ben Doak's injury, Conway scored eight of his 13 goals, indicating that the Liverpool player's assists were crucial.

It's very possible that Edwards will add one or two new forwards this summer, and I'm hoping the head coach will come up with a plan that will allow him to often start with two strikers. Conway will surely be one of them.

We are all aware of how badly last season's second half missed Emmanuel Latte Lath. His loss was a significant factor in Boro's failure to qualify for the playoffs, much like the disastrous January additions.

Conway is more than capable of assuming the role of Latte Lath with good service this season.

Additionally, Boro could overcome their problems and finish in the top six if they sign a second striker who plays decently.
