Pompey's training camp for 2025–2026 begins as wounded players are seen playing again.

Jordan Williams and Ibane Bowat are seen in action as Pompey lands in Slovakia.

Even though Pompey hasn't played in a competitive match for just two months, Blues supporters will have been thrilled to see their favourite players arrive in Bratislava yesterday for a week-long training camp.

The team's arrival was announced by the club on their X account yesterday, and it seems they wasted no time in getting started, going for a bike ride just before their first training session this morning.

As the Blues' stars departed the South Coast in time to catch their 09:05 flight from Heathrow to Vienna before driving down to Bratislava, Regan Poole was the first to greet the camera and offer commentary on the early start of the trip.

Yesterday, the team warmed up with a bike ride right off the tarmac, which helped them ease back into action.

Before a beaming Josh Murphy welcomed fans this morning to inform those of us back home that the team was diving right into their first session, Connor Ogilvie, Jordan Archer, Ben Killip, and Ibane Bowat were seen riding their bikes out of the hotel to explore their new home for the week.

In addition to being thrilled to see the week-long camp mark the beginning of the 2025–26 season, recordings from the sessions show that a number of players who were previously injured are making a comeback.

Bowat, 22, ruptured the petalla tendon in his right knee during training shortly after joining Pompey, and fans are well aware that he has yet to make his Pompey debut. There is some hope that the former Fulham player may soon don the Blues match shirt for the first time, though, as the centre-back was seen briskly making his way onto the training field.

Jordan Williams, Jacob Farrell, Zak Swanson, and Paddy Lane, all of whom had missed time due to injury, also joined the former Scottish U21s star on the training surface.

Despite only making 22 appearances the previous season, Pompey manager John Mousinho recently stated that he thinks Williams is now "in a good place" in relation to his persistent injury worries.

The former Barnsley player had a challenging debut season at Fratton Park, missing four distinct stints due to injury. However, it looks like the defender has recovered from his most recent hamstring problems and is currently playing alongside his teammates from the South Coast in Slovakia.

In a similar vein, the Pompey  supporters will be extremely happy to see the brief photos of Lane and Farrell dressed up, considering they have both been sidelined for several months.

Farrell made just one appearance for the Blues last season before joining Lane in the medical room due to a knee injury, while the adored Lane was sidelined for the second half of Pompey's 2024–25 season after suffering a knee injury in January.
