With a resolute commitment to the Tynecastle club, Lawrence Shankland is aiming for a century of goals for Hearts.
Last Monday, the Scotland striker signed a new three-year contract with the Jambos, putting an end to months of uncertainty.
And the 29-year-old is eager to go back to his best following a meagre nine goals in the previous campaign, when former manager Neil Critchley forced him out of position.
Having scored 68 goals in 137 games for Hearts, he hopes to become one of the 100 club's greatest players, like John Robertson.
Shankland said, "It's in sight," when Robbo became the final player to attain treble figures in maroon. Reaching 100 goals for Hearts is a significant accomplishment of which you can be very proud, and it is definitely something I aspire to.
Scoring goals is what I'm here to do, and I think I'll do that when I return and have that settled side of things when you're bound by a contract.

"There was a lot of uncertainty and things weren't going very well last season.
"Everything puts pressure on you. You will most likely alter somewhat as a result, but that's just another learning curve.
"I haven't actually been in that situation before. I'm thrilled to be back and am eagerly anticipating the upcoming season.

Shankland also thinks that under new manager Derek McInnes, he will benefit greatly from the service that wingers offer.
Last season, Critchley used him at the top of a midfield diamond, but it appears like McInnes will bring him back to attack.

"Playing as a No. 9 or just off the front was probably one of my best seasons," the striker remarked.
People occasionally exaggerate these things. Having the chance to play a variety of positions also presents a learning curve.
Although I don't dislike it too much, I believe that if you want to see the best of me, you should look in the centre. The management wants to give me the best opportunities, and it's my responsibility to seize them.

Why it took their captain so long to commit to Hearts was a point raised by several restless supporters.
"I understand that from a fan's point of view," Shankland added. A month may seem like a long period to some, but that's all it was. That didn't feel nearly as lengthy.
Before I gave football a second consideration, I had a few weeks to be married and do other things.

"I understand your irritation, but for me, it was a significant choice.
I also had a lot to consider for my family.
"The previous season wasn't very good. If I was returning to Hearts, I wanted to make sure that I was doing it with the mindset that I was completely in it and that my brain was in the correct place.
