Michael Appleton said of Isaac England, a graduate of Shrewsbury Town's academy, "nowhere near his ceiling."

Michael Appleton, the head coach of Shrewsbury Town, claims that Isaac England is now far from reaching his peak.

The young player started and played the entire 90 minutes of their 0-0 draw against Accrington Stanley on the weekend, marking his first appearance with the Salop first squad in recent weeks.

The 17-year-old signed a three-year contract with the team where he graduated from the academy, marking his first professional contract earlier this summer.

According to the Town head coach, the young player has a lot of promise and might play in the Championship if he keeps up his current pace.

Regarding England, Appleton remarked, "A lot of people tend to notice what they can't do, whereas I try and look at what they can do, what they can bring to the group."

I said that he brings composure to the ball, which is a really positive quality.

Although he is a skilled ball passer, it isn't the reason for his success. His goal is to pass the ball forward, which is crucial.

As a midfield player, that is also very important to me. We'll make an effort to assist him in improving the areas in which he struggles. But that won't take up much of our time.

"We'll dedicate a lot of time to working on his strongest areas and ensuring that he succeeds in them.

"I want him to pass the ball earlier and more quickly."

"I simply want him to finish a little bit sooner since he won't be here for very long if he does it a little bit earlier. He is scheduled to participate in the Championship.

That means months or perhaps years from now. But in the end, I've always wanted it with young guys. What is their ceiling, exactly?

The most crucial point is that he is now far from his ceiling. After a fast-paced start to his football career, Appleton thinks it's about trying to stay grounded for England.

When asked how far he can go, the boss responded, "It'll be up to him."

It will be up to him after I try to create an atmosphere and give him as many minutes as possible to put himself in that position. He is, as I said, a gifted young man.

"I have no doubt that he will remain grounded. ensuring that he puts in the necessary effort. He is not one of those players that has a strong game and then disappears for three or four games.
