Cajuste makes a loan return to Ipswich

Jens Cajuste, a midfielder for Napoli, has returned to Ipswich Town on a season-long loan. After spending the 2024–25 Premier League season on loan at the club, 25-year-old Cajuste has returned to Portman Road.

He made 30 appearances in the top level, starting 25 of them, and was a member of the team demoted to the Championship

Cajuste, a Sweden international, stated on the team's website: "I am really excited about the challenge because from what I have seen, the Championship is like war and one of the toughest leagues in the world."

During the Premier League season, Cajuste scored one goal for Town against Nottingham Forest, which earned him the league's March goal of the month award.

He was a member of Sweden's Euro 2020 squad and has 25 caps for the country.

"Being at the club last season was one of the best experiences of my professional career, especially in terms of camaraderie and team spirit, as well as working under an incredible manager who I have the highest level of respect for," he stated.

On Friday at 20:00 BST, Kieran McKenna's team will travel to Birmingham City, who were recently promoted, to kick off their Championship campaign.

Birmingham vs. Ipswich will be fully covered by BBC Radio Suffolk on FM and DAB.
