Aden Flint anticipates a difficult task at Priestfield.

After joining the Pallet-Track Bescot Stadium, defender Aden Flint is loving his life as a Saddler.

The 36-year-old made his league debut last weekend in the team's triumph over Swindon Town after joining from League One team Mansfield Town in the summer.

He has had no trouble adjusting to his new environment.

"So far, it's been fantastic," he remarked. We have a great group here and a nice atmosphere to work in, and even though we have laughed a lot, there has been a lot of hard work done, and I'm loving it.

The players and staff have embraced me with open arms.

"Last weekend's attendance was good, but more significantly, it was a strong start to the season with three points. It's never easy to be down to ten men, but the guys persevered, and we came out for the second half hoping to win something. We did a good job of defending our box and controlling the ball, and we finally received the reward for our efforts with the late victory, which pleased us all.

The Saddlers are hoping to win the league twice in a row when they travel to Priestfield, and Flint is aware that he and the team must perform at their highest level to win this weekend for both themselves and the fans who are travelling to Kent

"Going there is always difficult," he remarked. "We're ready for it and we're looking forward to the challenge.

They have an experienced manager in Gareth Ainsworth who likes to play a more direct approach and win a lot of second balls, so hopefully we can combat that as we managed to do against Swindon and come away with a positive result.

"Even in the early stages of this season, the support has been fantastic; it's clear that they're rooting for us and supporting us at every turn, and hopefully that can continue."
