Matt Peet provides an explanation for Bevan French's absence in the Wigan Warriors injury update.

After Bevan French missed Wigan Warriors' match against Castleford Tigers, manager Matt Peet provided an injury update.

The Wigan coach revealed that they will be without French for a significant amount of time after he was left off the team that defeated the Tigers in the closing minutes on Saturday night.

The halfback played with the knock last week, but it appears that his injury is more serious than first believed because he will be out for the next two months.
In his post-game interview, Peet stated that even though he is a vital member of their squad, he is thrilled to give Jack Farrimond, a rookie player, the opportunity to play in the halves with Harry Smith.

"Bevan is out for a good amount of time now; it will be eight weeks," he stated. It is a comparable but distinct strain of the calf.

Although Bevan
is one of the best players in the league, it's unfortunate for him since he loses focus often.

"Now that he will have a run of games, Jack has a great opportunity to play and train."

Additionally, Matt Peet provides an injury update on the Wigan Warriors winger.
Although winger Liam Marshall was listed on the starting lineup, young player Jacob Douglas took his place during play.

"He banged his ankle last Friday, and although there was no structural damage, it was swollen," the Wigan Warriors manager remarked of Marshall.
He didn't feel as free as he should have during the warm-up, despite our belief that he would recover over the course of the week.

We weren't going to push or take a chance since we knew Jacob was prepared and waiting.

"There won't be anything long-term, but hopefully he recovers quickly."

Before a run of home games against the Huddersfield Giants, Hull FC, and  the Warriors will next play the high-flying Leigh Leopards away from home.
