Exclusive: More Sheffield Wednesday training news as walkout options become available due to payment issues

It appears that Sheffield Wednesday's problems with player payments have persisted into their anticipated payday.

According to information obtained just before midnight on Monday, The Star is aware that some or all of its first team players' payment problems have not been resolved, which could lead to some players essentially giving notice to leave the team after failing to receive their salaries on time for several months.

According to the rules, Wednesday will have a 15-day notice period to pay any unpaid debts in order to keep any players who choose that course of action from ending their contracts and fleeing the continuous mayhem at Wednesday.

According to The Star, Under-21 players who still have contracts for the upcoming season received some of their June wage installments on Monday. Employees in a number of the club's divisions are dealing with the uncertainty at a very difficult moment, and non-football workers have yet to receive their June salaries.

Employees were cautioned that an emergency fund established to address sudden financial difficulties might not be able to cover every request.

Preseason preparations have started for football. While it was initially thought that players would be given individual training plans and asked to complete a large portion of the week's work outside of team sessions, it now appears that some sessions will be led by Andy Holdsworth, the Under-21s manager.

Players reported to the Jubilee Sports Club on Monday for a fitness session.

As recently installed pitches at the training site are given extra time to get up to full strength, it is anticipated that other sessions will continue as usual in the Middlewood Road gym facilities, extending their lifespan.

Staff members have reportedly spent a lot of time looking for a different grass venue, thus workarounds are being implemented.

Danny Röhl, the manager, is still in negotiations with the club to negotiate his departure and has missed all of the preseason games thus far. By midnight, the remaining members of his coaching crew were no longer Wednesdays, as their contracts expired.

Even though Henrik Pedersen, the assistant coach, is not thought to have attended Monday's practice, it is thought that he is open to the idea of replacing Röhl.
