According to ROBBIE Cowling, the contract extensions that Danny and Nicky Cowley signed demonstrate how alluring Colchester United is to prospective purchasers.
After their management team signed new contracts to retain the U's at the JobServe Community Stadium through the summer of 2028, the team has been bolstered.
After 19 years in charge, Mr. Cowling is actively searching for possible owners in order to sell the football team.
Team news and Colchester United manager Danny Cowley's travel to the Bees.
"It is crucial that I make a number of excellent final decisions to make sure Colchester United is in the best possible position for the future as I look to pass on the baton of ownership," Mr. Cowling stated on the U's website.
"A crucial step in that approach is getting Danny and Nicky signed to long-term contracts.
"My best choice will ultimately be in selecting the ideal new owner for this football team, and I think that Danny and Nicky's dedication shows how appealing Colchester United is as a prospect.
"By working together, we are making sure that the future is bright and the foundations are solid."
Mr. Cowling had been negotiating the sale of Colchester United to Tim Foley's American group, Lightwell Sports Group.
But despite "the mutual goodwill and constructive spirit shown on all sides," the U's chairman declared in June that he had failed to come to a consensus regarding the possible takeover.
The most significant addition the U's can make is Cowley's contract extension.
"My focus remains on supporting the club as we prepare for the upcoming season," Mr. Cowling said in a statement.
"While my long-term intention to sell, Colchester united has not changed, I will continue to provide the financial backing and leadership needed to guide the club forward."
